Big Interest as of late? Jan. 1st, 2007 @ 03:21 pm
As a newly-appointed moderator, I'd love to stir up regular discussions here!

What's everyone's current Big Interest lately? I define "Big Interest" as whatever you're putting all of your wonderfully enthusiastic energy towards lately!

And if you feel so bold, any idea how long this Big Interest will last? ;)

As for me... lately I've been extremely interested and energetic about gardening! Plants, herbs, flowers, for eating, viewing, and medicinal purposes. I can't get enough information concerning this!

As for how long my attention span will hold it... maybe 3 months? It'll start to dwindle as soon as I find something equally tantalizing.

ENFP and proud! Dec. 5th, 2006 @ 07:44 pm
I just found out that I'm ENFP, and I feel so relieved. Literally everything applies to me; great ideas in abundance, never finishing projects, smother-some of my boyfriend, demanding of attention, stinting my own needs for others all the time, the "silly switch" where I go from serious to a tickle monster... everything!

I'm also a Libra, probably adding more sensitivity and creativity to the whirling mix.

Nice to meet you all! *hugs all around*

Just some community maintenance... Jun. 9th, 2006 @ 09:46 am
*Please, no promotion of communities unless they are somehow related to ENFP/MBTI topics.

*Off-topic posts, however, are okay. You are encouraged to make them relate, though, if you can.

*Get off the computer and go do something fun.

Sorry if this is off-topic... May. 6th, 2006 @ 01:30 am
This LJ entry inspired me to download a documentry called Invisible Children.

OMG! It made me feel soooo sad! What they do to those children is awful!

For more info read the link to the LJ entry above or go to this community:

And the Official website

Thank you for taking the time to read this entry, and please watch the documentry and post about it in your journals and tell everyone you know about this!

Hi, I'm an INTJ (shhh) but I have a few Qs for ENFPs:

1) I am wondering how many people in this community are men and how many are women.
2) Have you any experience in friendships or romantic relationships with INTJs. If so, please tell me about them in general, conflicts you've faced, benefits of the relationship, how the chemistry goes, how you tend to get along, etc.

Thanks ENFPs!!

Hi! I'm an ENFP! Wassup? I'm very idealistic and overly optimistic. Also... being a Sagittarius too thats makes me even more of an optimist (unless you dont believe all the zodiac bullhicky). It can be annoy to ppl sometimes, but I cant help getting a good feeling about just about everything I am about to do! :D
» T/F  J/P  and culture
I thought that some other feelers would find this interesting:

I'm reading for my Sociology of Minority Groups class, in "Strangers To These Shores" in the section "Is there a white culture?"

It reads:

...For example, says Jeff Hitchcock in Unraveling the White Cocoon, in black culture feelings are given precedence over sensibilities.  He explains that when a feeling comes on a person, black culture says it is appropriate to express it, but white culture "works hard to keep the volume down, lest we all go crazy from the demands we place on each other's capacity for self-control.  Experience in the culture helps.  We learn how to not step on toes, hurt other people's 'feelings,' to not make a scene and all the other little social rules and practices of a lifetime.  We rein it in, and trade spontaneity... for an orderly demeanor and generally predictable and controlled everyday existence."

Have any of you perceived the difference of acceptance of Thinkers/Feelers in different cultures?  In addition, it also seems to mention the dominant US culture emphasizes Judging as well as Thinking (as many of us has discussed living in an ESTJ world.)
What do you think?  Is this a reasonable statement to make?

(x posted, sorry!)

Hello all!!!!

I am really obsessed with I <3 Huckabees....and Igby goes down. i wonder if ENFP's are prone to liking indie films, or liberal films... probably so.

do you depend on your dreams as a subconscious speech or as a bunch of random reccurances that happened the previous day? i'm one of those people that reads a lot into my dreams...but not with dream dictionaries...i don't necessarily think every single person has the same opinion as to what a tree, cloud, house, or fish may be in their dream...what if someone has always had an extremely negative feeling towards houses or they carry a horrible memory in a house. say that the 'dream dictionary' says that a house represents calm or something....well, how could it represent that if those few people view it otherwise? gah, i'm ranting...sorry...although my opinion on dream dictionaries are a bit contradictory..i believe somethings, and i don't believe other stuff... Are there any books that you know of that aren't so "this-is-what-THIS-means" about dreams or dreaming?? or websites? thank you! plus, im open to hearing more opinions than my own...it kind of opens my horizons, i guess.
Hello everyone!! seeing that there is a community for ENFP's makes me really happy!!
Hmmm.. well, i got into personality types last year after a psychologist gave me a written Myers-Briggs test. It was based on a comparative point system (i think they are more accurate than online tests...but thats just my opinion..) I sort of became obsessed with it for a while...mking my own copies, getting people to take the test, configuring their answers..yadda yadda. Now I've started to notice myself picking up on what people say/do and thinking in my head what Type they are...Does anyone else do this?
Anyway, I just wanted to say hey!
